For this client in Hersham we installed an external grade CAT6 cable from the router position through the garage to the external side of the house. From there we installed surface conduit to provide mechanical protection for the cable. We installed a customer supplied POE (power over Ethernet) booster in their garden so the can have good Wi-Fi signal when outside.
